Todd the Tall Watcher – Hand-Sculpted Guardian Gargoyle – Inspired by Kurgan Stelae – Clay & Virginia Green Jasper

$120.00

This guardian is modeled after the ancient Kurgan stelae of Eurasia — stone figures raised as memorials to ancestors and protectors of the land. For millennia, such stelae stood watch over burial mounds, symbolizing strength, remembrance, and eternal guardianship.

This gargoyle is modeled after a real Stelae in northwest Saudi Arabia This Stelae dates back to 3000 BCE and was likely carved by nomadic early Arabian tribes.

Hand-sculpted in clay and fused with Virginia green jasper, the Tall Watcher rises steady and unshaken, his torso peering above the ground like the ancestors he honors. His lower body is rooted in layered stone and soil, embodying the reward of loyal guardianship: to merge with the earth itself.

- ~8” tall
- Materials: Clay & Virginia green jasper
- One-of-a-kind sculpture, crafted to honor the memory of ancient watchers

Frequently Asked Questions

Imperfections, Shipment, and Custom Pieces

All pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind. Pieces may have small imperfections, dimples, and blemishes. I try to be sure blemishes are included in the item’s photographs. Please keep this in mind as you order.

Pottery is fragile, so I package my pots carefully to avoid any items breaking in shipment. Sometimes, this can mean a large amount of shipping material is used. Boxes, shrink wrap, shredded paper, and bubble wrap are recyclable. Packing peanuts are biodegradable. Please recycle/biodegrade if possible!

Custom pieces can take about 4 weeks to create. I avoid delays as much as possible, but the kiln can have a mind of its own. I’ll notify you immediately if I expect any delays in the production process.
